This Middle Grade spooky, paranormal book is inspired by my local small-town and a myth/legend that was quite popular back in the days before cell phones. No one knows how the story started or its background, so I thought I would write one :)

Here's the book pitch! Small Spaces x The Girl in White
No one knows why they hear a baby cry at Hollow Bridge. What is known is if you leave a candy bar on the crossties, something will take a bite. Twelve-year-old Emma never believed the myth until a ghost came to her. Now she and her friends must solve a curse or lose something dear, forever.
I always wanted to write a fantasy that takes place in the Medieval ages ! This story is a fairytale retelling but with a prince as the main character. There's lots of action and adventure, pirates, gnomes, chases, a dragon, and of course, a cat!

Here'sthebook pitch!! The Thirteenth Fairy x Nevermoor For fans of Gail Carson Levine
Twelve- year-old Prince Freddy must do something heroic to prove to his kingdom that he's not evil, as his fortune foretold. After escaping the tower he's been locked in since birth, Freddy goes on a quest in search of a heroic deed that will change his fate. But the task is a bit more dangerous and 'fire-breathing' than he expected.
Here's hoping an editor loves my self-conscious, quirky, prince, his bad fortune, and the humorous and adventurous self-discovery quest he goes on to change his fate in this gender-swapped Rapunzel retelling!
I'm so excited about this book! This cozy middle grade fantasy is like reading a warm hug that smells of sweet apple pies.
Here's a synopsis sample: 11-year-old Winnie Stirling is still waiting on her magic powers when she spends her summer break with Nana in the cozy valley of Starlight Hollow.
Winnie loves staying on her Nana's farm and helping her feed the animals and name the new kittens! She is also glad to be staying with Nana since it's mostly older people who live in Starlight Hollow, and Winnie hasn't been able to talk to anyone her age in years. Her best friend is her stuffed animal cat, Chester, who she shares all her secrets and wishes.
But one day, while getting a new book from the "Maeve's Favorites" section at the town bookstore, Winnie runs into Maeve, and she's her age! But Maeve is different than other kids and Winnie finds herself making her very first friend! Through sleepovers, parties, and the fair, there are many fun and serendipitous adventures, but also some heartache.
Winnie will learn how much courage she has, what it takes to overcome fears and sadness from the past, and make a best friend, as she spends a magical summer in Starlight Hollow.
